Composer | Musician | Educator

Ken Belcher is a versatile composer, guitarist, vocalist and educator.

Ken earned his Masters (MSc) in Composition for Screen with Distinction at the University of Edinburgh in 2018. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

Ken graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC) Thornton School of Music with a BM in Studio/Jazz Guitar Performance in 2006.  For the past eleven years, he has been performing and composing in a variety of capacities in Los Angeles and around the globe.

Current and upcoming projects include composing for the feature film ICBM and two shorts (Dovetail, BEST OF THE FEST at Feel The Reel International Film Festival & The Artisan), as well as writing custom cues for a top cable network together with the award-winning agency West One Music Group.

Past work experience includes:

  • Composer for the heartwarming animation by Amy Bruning, Pointy. The film was selected for various animated film festivals, including the 14 World Festival of Animated Film Varna 2018.

  • Former intern for Marco Biscarini in Bologna, Italy

  • Music for film and television for West One Music Group

  • Multi-instrumentalist for The Last Guardian, a PlayStation game from Sony

  • Touring as lead guitarist across the US and internationally with YouTube artists Jason Chen, Clara C, David Choi and Paul Dateh

  • Film scoring on Nani, an AFI film directed by Justin Tipping and winner of the 2012 Bronze/Narrative Category at the Academy of Music Picture Arts and Sciences 39th annual Student Academy Awards (with Paul Dateh)

  • Away We Happened, a series for AT&T by Wong Fu Productions
